Glossary

A highly aggressive humanoid alien that roams deep space. These have the ability to eat almost anything, and are valued in human society for their strength and intelligence. Djubetos were first encountered in the 16th century when an isolated individual fell to the Old World Earth, but were not encountered again until space exploration campaigns in year 3012, about 800 years after humanity's first mass exodus from the Old World. In 3054, an individual dubbed "Manna" was captured and tamed, successfully integrating into human society as the first societal djubetos. 

The Old World, also known as Earth or Sol-3, is the original planet of humanity.  Due to overcrowding and government corruption, about a third of the population left to venture into space in 2132, searching amongst the stars for new planets to call home. In 2849, another group left the planet as it had begun to crumble due to interlacing mechanical structures built inside. The planet is now stable and houses roughly ten billion residents, which includes a variety of species, organic and robotic alike. 

Certain research institutes have discovered the existence of several alternate dimensions, and have found that via wormholes, it is possible to dip into these dimensions and pop back out into the current one in a wildly different location. This teleportation technique is still under heavy research, but it seems that certain djubetos are able to do it without artificial aid. The research institutes are currently more interested in the teleportation capabilities of this phenomenon than exploring the other dimensions at this time. 

A rare, highly energized crystal that's sought after for engine batteries and other mass energy mechanicals. Forms inside djubetos tails and sometimes horns, and radiates the same photorenzic energy that it crystallizes in.  This crystal is often traded on the black market.

A mysterious energy that is found inside of the plasma gel in a djubetos's tail. First discovered in the 16th century upon the first djubetos encounter, this energy seems almost... otherworldly, and may be linked to the other dimensions that have been proposed by the parallel jumping research teams. This energy may crystallize in a highly condensed setting such as a djubetos's tail or artificial setting. 

"Terran" refers to residents of the Old World. They were originally termed as humans but the species is now labeled by the planet they hailed from.
