PROFILE

  • Once upon a time, Manna was a spacebound djubetos. They were captured in 2522 alongside a handful of other spacebounds for use in research regarding the “taming” and integration of djubetos into human society. Having a generally docile nature compared to their peers, Manna was the only djubetos to become successfully integrated from the project. They were also, unfortunately, the only one who survived the process as the others were deemed “failures” and purged. Manna was used as an example for the potential of living alongside djubetos but, as with all things, over time their face faded into history. Their handler passed away and they were passed to another, and another, and eventually they were given full citizenship by the IAB and given the freedom to roam.
  • Nowadays Manna involves themselves with civil rights movements and political activism, using their centuries of experience with humanity to spread awareness about the secret lives of djubetos. While djubetos rights are at their peak in the modern day with most people viewing them with curiosity rather than hatred or fear, some things are still not as perfect as Manna would like, so they target these issues whenever they arise and are a familiar face at rallies and interviews.
  • Manna is currently situated on Pandora and can often be found roaming the cultural district by day and meeting with members of Cipher-6 by night to discuss the Paragon’s most recent movements. They occasionally cameo at Galaxias Ignotum University to aid in classes about djubetos anatomy and history, and once a year they travel to Brightwater University on Muunvitus to do the same. They like to spend the little free time they have with Vaughn.

PERSONALITY

  • Despite being an integrated spacebound, Manna is a pacifist by nature and disapproves of radical measures in politics. They believe that everything can (and should) be solved without involving violence. This may stem from memories of the violent measures used to integrate them into human society in the first place.
  • They tend not to talk unless they have something meaningful to say, but should they have something on their mind that they feel is worth saying, they expect respect and full attention while they talk. Manna does not like to be ignored and has no issues calling their listeners to attention should they see eyes wander to phones. In return though, they may be one of the most patient listeners in the universe and are happy to sit and listen to their conversation partner’s side of things.
  • Manna admires Warren for his problem solving skills and technological genius, and appreciates that Warren also prefers non-violent methods of change. They enjoy a peaceful relationship with Vaughn filled with plenty of parallel play and brief moments set aside for each other, and the two bond over their hopes for a better future. Manna does not see eye-to-eye with Zeta Four and avoids him as much as possible. They believe that somewhere deep down, Zeta still has good in him but is unable to bring it to the surface due to fear. They hope that one day, Zeta will realize that revenge does more harm than good and that two wrongs don’t make a right.
