Traits
Tail measuring contest (Uncommon)
This trait gives a djubetos an extra long tail, up to double the normal length! If they're unlucky... maybe their tail is extra small,,, down to just a few inches... it's average, I swear!
Undiscovered trait (Mythical)
This trait hasn't been seen before in a djubetos. Allows a user to apply something that hasn't yet been logged into the trait dex, or mimic any existing trait. We cannot guarantee that something similar will never be released, but should that happen, feel free to obtain and apply the new trait item and do something else fun with the undiscovered trait slot!
A single djubetos cannot have more than one undiscovered trait!
Obtainable via the purified mutagen item.
Phonic horns (Scarce)
Hollow horns that produce a melody when air is pushed through them. May or may not have holes to produce a variety of notes.
Obtainable via the prodigy's sheet music item.
Alter ego (Mythical)
Allows a character to have an alternate "form". This form must be of the same species. The form may have different traits from the character's base form, but all traits applied must be unlocked. All traits from all forms have a chance to pass down when breeding.
Characters can have up to one base form + 3 alter egos, but the alter ego mutation must be reapplied separately for each additional form.
Holo-tattoo (Uncommon)
Holo-tattoos are a popular body modification in Mwylunnus. They are a tattoo made of nanotech ink that can move under the skin to produce different patterns. This trait can be applied multiple times, but each application must not extend to more than one "main" area of the body (Right arm, Left arm, right leg, left leg, torso front, torso back, neck/head, and tail). This trait can be applied multiple times to cover more of the body.
Characters with this trait may have markings that move and shift.
Compound eyes (Rare)
Allows for a character to have compound eyes like an insect. Does NOT allow for them to have eight eyes like an arachnid.
Stringed horns (Scarce)
Curved horns that have a series of strings attached to them. These strings play different notes when plucked like a string instrument.
Shaped pupils (Uncommon)
The pupils are a shape outside of the standard round or slit pupil. Horizontal pupils also fall under this trait.
Obtainable via the optical illusion item.
Shaped irises (Uncommon)
The irises are a shape other than the standard round iris.
Obtained via the optical illusion item.
Polycoria (Rare)
Allows for multiple pupils and/or irises in the eyes.
Obtainable via the eye test chart item.
Hypnotic eyes (Scarce)
Creates a spiral in the iris that goes around and around and around. Can be used to entrance those who make eye contact.
Obtainable via the psychedelic blood item.
Etched horns (Rare)
Allows for the horns to be carved. May range from things etched into the horns to the whole shape of the horn being changed slightly.
Obtainable via the diamond-tipped drill bit item.
Plasma flux (Rare)
This affliction gives the effect of fire or electricity on a djubetos's tail and body. It's caused when a djubetos is exposed to a tremendous amount of energy at once, be this heat, electricity, or something else. The excess energy will pool in the djubetos's tail and tear through the membrane, causing irreversible damage. Over time, this hole will continue to degrade as the djuebtos uses the tail, causing the inner plasma to leak out, causing a fire or electricity effect in the tail. If the divider between the tail and body becomes damaged, plasma may leak out of body parts as well.
The end stage of this affliction is complete loss of tail membrane, giving the effect of a fire or smoke tail.
This condition differs from a tail injury, as most tail injuries will heal over time. Plasma flux is when the amount of energy escaping the tail is so excess that the membrane can no longer heal.
Djubetos with a severe enough case of this affliction will struggle to survive in open space as their body uses tremendous amounts of energy to keep up with the energy escaping from exposed tail plasma. They will also have difficulty regulating body temperature as raw plasma leaks into their main body from the tail.
Obtainable via the Photon reactor core item.
Husk Parasitosis (Scarce)
The djubetos is infected by a parasite known as a Huskworm. This worm kills the djubetos and merges with the heartbrain, which in turn combines its consciousness with the remaining traces of its victim's, creating a new identity.
Obtainable via huskworm larva item.
Licorice Hexum (Uncommon)
High blood sugar results in sugary growths on the body as the immune system tries to expel excess glucose. These growths typically take the shape (and flavor) of various candies and sweets such as hard candy, chocolate, cookies, and even whipped cream or icing.
These growths cannot fully replace body parts without an additional trait such as odd tail, odd horns, etc.
Obtainable via the glucose medley item.
Lycoperdontis Mist (Uncommon)
Infection of the lycoperdontis puffball mushroom causes clouds of spores to leak from orifices, wounds, or even patches of skin. This behaves like mist or smoke and can be any color.
This mist cannot replace body parts such as the tail or horns and can only float around the body or leak out.
Obtainable via the vial pod item.
Cordinanis Spores (Rare)
Consumption of the cordinanis mushroom causes plant and fungal growth to grow across the body. These plants may or may not stray from Earth biology, and may appear inside and outside of the body.
Obtainable via the odd mushroom item.
Polycephalic Amalgamation (Scarce)
A djubetos is born as a set of fused twins. May include up to two additional appendages (not heads) that do not belong to either twin in addition to a set of appendages that belongs to each twin.
Obtainable via Breeding Affliction.
Paralarval Countenance (Uncommon)
The face never developed, leaving a djubetos with the skeletal face of a paralarva permanently. The face may have bone, or gooey exposed muscle. The tail may be underdeveloped (weak bones) and the skin can be any shade of purple, blue, gray, or a normal human skin tone. Djubetos with this defect tend to be incredibly aggressive.
Obtainable via Breeding Affliction.
Nanite Infection (Scarce)
The infection of a djubetos egg by a nanomachine virus that converts the developing paraleva's flesh to machine. Depending on the time of infection, the hatched djubetos's condition could range from ball joints, to a flesh covered android, to being fully robotic, inside and out. In recent years, a pill has been produced that contains a variant of this virus that is able to convert existing flesh to machine, allowing for grown djubetos to also acquire this affliction.
Obtainable via the nanotech pill item.
